Over the years, I have put a lot of thought into how to ask for help with my career. I have been afraid of doing it wrong and with fear of critique and rejection. Well, I am over that, finally. Bottom line: I just want to do it in a way that feels good and right to me and hopefully to you as well. If you are not interested, willing, or able, your continued support and goodwill is just as appreciated. Your contribution will help to empower Raggin' Piano Boogie to travel down South in the hurricane affected areas in order to provide musical appearances and performances free of charge. This will be for individuals and groups, residents and volunteers. Help lighten spirits with a visit from Raggin' Piano Boogie to a town having difficulty or a visit to a specific family friend who is special and dear to you. Your contribution will help defray the cost of the truck, equipment, sound system, travel, and ongoing expenses. I am only looking to cover my basic costs and that will run into the many thousands of dollars. Just think about the price of a truck alone. The performances will be Ragtime and Boogie Woogie and/or Piano Improvisation outdoors or indoors. More preferably on the truck. The offering is also open for other piano players and pianists to perform any style or level of music from the truck. Send check or money order to: Danny Kean, Raggin' Piano Boogie, 3264 Parkview Dr, Bensalem PA 19020 Or click on a PayPal logo below to use PayPal.
I will provide transport, lodging, and food for Boner and myself. Of course, if you can help provide accommodations or know of anyone who can, that would be a big help! I have a feeling I may end up sleeping in the truck more than one night when traveling through rural areas. Anything beyond that, say if you have specific staging needs, that will be your responsibility. The setting and necessary requirements, along with any hospitality, should be discussed before a firm commitment is made. Raggin' Piano Boogie will assume worker's comp, personal injury, and liability responsibility for the piano guy, dog, and truck. And of course, there will be pictures for you. |
