MonthlyPlease consider making a monthly contribution to protect and bring value to the Traveling Piano's mission of joy. There is no entertaining or performing for audiences or crowds... we "Bring the Beat to the Street" for the sake of one on one personal experiences. Along with Piano Dog Mo, my life is dedicated to relationships, musical and otherwise. Make your contribution now. You can cancel at any time.
Piano Man Danny Kean has been working full time with a piano in the back of the same pickup truck, twelve months a year for 33 years. For the first 20 years, Danny was successful as a paid Ragtime/Boogie Woogie performer based out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Now, for the last twelve years his “brand” has changed. A spontaneous and synchronistic journey began on the road without fees, tips or commercial affiliation. Everything was self-funded through the sale of his home. The purpose: to create one-on-one empowering and inspirational relationships with people from all walks of life for the sake of musical fun, friendship and respect. All music is improvisational. Sharing the piano seat with everyone, experienced or not, is the goal. The first Traveling Piano pup named Boner hung out on top of the piano. Present Traveling Piano dog Mo does the same, while encouraging interaction and sharing his love.
Many people have been losing the ability to communicate with each other and especially with strangers. People are full of division, anger and frustration. The Traveling Piano builds a bridge to our worth in humanity together and provides validation, reassurance, respect and care for those in need through trust. How often in life do we meet a stranger sharing their life without agenda? This is where trust enters. As well as in both rural and urban areas throughout the entire northern hemisphere, the Traveling Piano has been supportive for people living through natural disasters such as Hurricane, Katrina in Mississippi and Louisiana as well as the tornado that devastated Joplin Missouri. The Traveling Piano has been drawn to the horrors of gun violence in Virginia Tech as well as Sandy Hook, Connecticut and in San Bernardino, California. For the last two years piano man Danny Kean has been working the streets of Las Vegas, Nevada through community outreach in the poorest of neighborhoods to lift spirits and to give attention and care to those that need it most.
The Traveling Piano experience affects up to 2,000 people a week. A blog for every day since 2006 with over 75,000 photos of the journey can be found on on this website. In order to continue, support is needed for a sustainable income as well as a new truck and equipment. Danny’s chosen path has been to seek one-on-one personal contribution, never while working. Please support this worthy cause! If you would like to contribute through another banking source or with cash or money order please contact us via email: email@example.com
Join us on this Wonderful Journey and watch for us as we will be "Coming Soon to a Street Near You!"
Thanks! From: Piano Man Danny Kean and Piano Dog Mo along with Piano Dog Bo in Spirit
